Where do you deliver to?
We're pleased to be able to deliver to book lovers across the world, but please note that due to rights reasons each book may have its own geographic restrictions and we may not be able to ship to certain products to select countries. These restrictions will be shown on the individual product page, so please review these carefully before ordering.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery time will vary based on your location. Within the UK we aim to deliver within 3-5 working days via a tracked service. European orders can take up to 21 days, and rest of the world orders may take up to 28. For more info please see the delivery page.
Please note if you are pre-ordering a book ahead of publication it will not be shipped until the week of publication. Please check ‘anticipated publication date’ on the page for more info. Should the estimated publication date change for whatever reason, we will notify you within a reasonable period of time.
Can I amend an order or shipping address?
Unfortunately we cannot make any amendments to your order or shipping details once submitted. If the item hasn't been shipped, you may be able to cancel your order from your account area or by contacting support@gollancz.co.uk, and you may then place a new order subject to item availability.
Does the price cover all import costs for international customers?
International customers may be liable for additional import or customs fees, depending on the laws and regulations in your country. These will be payable directly by you upon receipt of the items.
How do I cancel an order or return an item?
You can cancel an order or return your item in accordance with our terms of service. Please contact support@gollancz.co.uk in the first instance.
Are your special or limited editions authenticated?
The product listing will detail if a product comes with a certificate of authenticity or similar. Please keep any authentications safe as we cannot replace any that are lost or damaged.
Are your special or limited editions signed?
Many of our special editions are signed, but not all. If an edition is signed it will be clearly stated on the product page.
Are your books new or vintage/antiques?
We only sell new books published by Gollancz.
Do you sell ebooks or audiobooks?
No, we currently only sell physical editions of our books.
Are items in my cart reserved for me?
Items in your cart are not reserved, so please complete your purchase to avoid disappointment where stock of an item is limited.
Why has an order I placed been cancelled?
On rare occasions we may need to cancel your order in line with our terms of service. One reason might be due to a title going out of stock as a result of high demand and low availability. While we hate disappointing customers, in scenarios such as this orders will be fulfilled in the order in which they were successfully placed, and any order that we can't fulfil will be refunded.
I’ve written a book – how can I get it published by Gollancz?
Firstly, congratulations on becoming a writer! Whilst we’re always looking for new authors and stories to publish, due to the sheer volume of submissions our editorial team currently only accept new projects via literary agents. There are many fantastic agents who specialise in sci-fi, fantasy, horror and the other types of fiction we publish; the Writers and Artists Yearbook is a good place to start in finding them, or by researching which agents represent books you are a fan of that you think may have a similar readership to your own. How can I work for Gollancz?
Gollancz is part of Hachette UK, and any vacancies in our team will be advertised on the Hachette website. Keep an eye on our social media too, as we will usually mention any job opportunities on there as well.
